We were delighted to welcome back former student Hattie Page, now Lead Midwife for Preceptorship at Telford Hospital, to work with our Year 11 Child Development students.

Hattie led an engaging and informative session, giving students the opportunity to apply their recent revision in a practical context. She shared first-hand insight into prenatal, labour and postnatal care, and introduced students to the equipment used in modern midwifery.

Students actively participated throughout the session, confidently demonstrating their knowledge and asking thoughtful questions. The experience helped them make meaningful connections between their studies and real-world practice, while also offering a valuable glimpse into careers within healthcare.

We were incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and maturity shown by our students. Opportunities like this play a vital role in bringing learning to life and supporting students as they prepare for their upcoming examinations.

We extend our sincere thanks to Hattie for returning to share her expertise and inspire the next generation. We wish our Year 11 students every success in their exams.
