Year 8 Crowned West Midlands Champions
Our basketball teams ended the JrNBA season in outstanding style, with Year 8 leading the way as West Midlands Champions.
The team dominated the group stage and remained unbeaten throughout. Their strong performances earned them a place at the Finals Day at the University of Worcester. They carried that momentum into the knockout rounds and won the West Midlands Final with confidence and control.
In the Midlands Final, they battled hard against tough opposition. Despite their effort, they finished as runners-up and claimed a well-deserved silver medal. The team should feel incredibly proud of this achievement. They showed resilience, teamwork, and maturity in every game.
Our Year 7 team also impressed during the competition. They faced a difficult group stage but stayed determined. Their efforts paid off as they reached Finals Day and secured third place in the Midlands, earning a fantastic bronze medal.
Both teams committed fully throughout the season. Players attended training consistently and worked hard to improve their skills. That dedication showed in their performances on the court.
Several players earned special recognition for their efforts. In the free throw shootout finals, Malakai won the Year 8 competition and received his own JrNBA basketball. Dexter also performed brilliantly and finished second.

These achievements reflect the effort, discipline, and teamwork shown all year. The season has been a huge success for everyone involved.
We feel incredibly proud of all our players. They competed with passion, supported each other and represented the school with pride.
