Students have been presented with their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh certificates and pin badges, as a result of completing their expeditions last academic year.
Congratulations to all students for achieving their awards.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a national accreditation that aims to inspire and develop young people through volunteering, physical activity, and teamwork. Many colleges, universities, and employers highly value the qualification amongst young people.
The Bronze DofE certificate has 3 sections:
- Volunteering
- Physical Activity
- Skill
Students had to conquer two days of challenging hills… Ragleth, Caer Caradoc and Lawley. Carrying full kit, forty-eight year 9 students completed their qualifying expedition including camping overnight in Cardington.
Thanks are given to Duke of Edinburgh Coordinators, Mrs Gilbert and Mrs Cooper, and all the staff and parents who have so generously given their time to support the students throughout the award scheme.
Well done to all involved for making this such a great success!
