Thomas Adams School is celebrating another year of outstanding GCSE results, with students achieving excellent outcomes across a wide range of subjects.

The 2026 GCSE results highlight the hard work, determination and resilience demonstrated by students throughout their studies. Many students achieved or exceeded their target grades, reflecting their commitment and positive attitude over the past two years.

Headteacher Mark Cooper praised the achievements of the school’s Year 11 cohort and the support network that helped them succeed.

“We are incredibly proud of this year’s cohort. Their results reflect the commitment, perseverance and positive attitude they have demonstrated over the past two years. Many students have exceeded their targets, and it has been particularly inspiring to see so many young people overcome personal challenges and achieve their very best.”

This year’s results continue Thomas Adams School’s strong performance, with significant improvements seen across many subject areas. Several departments have recorded some of their strongest outcomes in recent years, demonstrating the impact of high-quality teaching and learning across the school.

The success achieved by students is a testament to the dedication of staff, the determination of students and the invaluable support provided by parents and carers throughout their educational journey.

Mr Cooper added:

“Today’s results are a celebration of what can be achieved through resilience and teamwork. I would like to thank our students, staff, parents and carers for their hard work throughout this journey. We are delighted that many of our students will now continue their education at Thomas Adams Sixth Form, joining a thriving community of young people from across North Shropshire and beyond. We look forward to supporting them as they continue to fulfil their potential and achieve further success in the years ahead.”

As students celebrate their GCSE results and prepare for the next stage of their education, the entire Thomas Adams School community is proud of their achievements and wishes them every success for the future.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 on their outstanding GCSE success.
