We are delighted to celebrate a group of dedicated and enthusiastic students who have been recognised for their involvement in our library’s reading programmes. Each student received a certificate in recognition of their commitment to one of our specialist reading groups.
Throughout the year, students have had the opportunity to take part in a wide range of reading initiatives designed to promote a love of books, develop critical thinking skills, and offer a unique insight into the world of publishing.
Some of our students took on the role of judges for the Young People’s Science Book of the Year, reading shortlisted titles and debating their merits before helping to choose a winner. Others participated in our editorial group for Barrington Stoke, working as early readers for not-yet-published books and giving valuable feedback to authors and editors.
These are just two of the many vibrant and enriching groups that run through our library, all aimed at encouraging reading for pleasure, broadening literary horizons, and building confidence in sharing ideas and opinions.
We’re incredibly proud of our student reading champions and look forward to welcoming even more participants into our library programmes next year.
