Pupils Raise Over £1,100 at Charity Picnic Event
On Thursday 17th July, pupils came together for a fun-filled charity picnic day, raising an impressive £1,165.75 for two worthy causes: Severn Hospice and Nature’s SAFE.
Held on a non-uniform day, students were invited to bring picnic blankets, food, and garden games to enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the sunshine. The school grounds were buzzing with activity as pupils took part in a wide range of events, including tug of war, space hopper races, hair braiding, face painting, giant Jenga, football matches, magic tricks, and much more.
A popular tuck shop and cake sale added to the enjoyment, with many pupils choosing to support the charities by making donations in exchange for sweet treats.
The two charities – Severn Hospice, which provides care and support for families living with incurable illness, and Nature’s SAFE, a conservation charity working to protect animal species from extinction – were thoughtfully selected by the Student Council, giving pupils a strong sense of ownership and pride in the event.
Thank you to all students and staff who helped make the day such a success.
