At the end of last term, A Level Textile Design students visited Birmingham City University to take part in ‘Fashion TEX’.

The event enables students to work on projects in the Universities’ workshops as well as watch catwalk fashion shows of the work being produced by the Undergraduates.

The students were able to upcycle garments and see new digital technologies in stitch. They also had the opportunity to work and create their own published photography instillation and style programming used in the fashion industry. They also got to work with the lecturers on trends and retail communication ideas.

The Fashion TEX Workshop was a brilliant opportunity for our students to dive into the world of fashion, textiles and communication, while experiencing a taste of university life at Birmingham City University (BCU).
