Students Deliver Donations During Kenya Visit
Students from Thomas Adams School have supported a local school in Kenya with football kits, stationery and gifts during their CAMPS International visit.
Before the trip, the school worked with former Thomas Adams Governor Neil Hope. Neil leads the charity Taking Football to Africa, which provides football equipment to communities across the continent.
As part of the project, CAMPS trip leader Charlie Bailey visited the kit store at RAF Shawbury. He collected around 20kg of football kit for students to take to Kenya.
The donation included shirts from Wolves, Aston Villa, Arsenal and England.
A group of 49 Thomas Adams students are currently taking part in community projects across Kenya. The football kits formed an important part of their visit.
Supporting Schools In Muhaka
Mr Bailey has provided an update from Kenya. Students donated the football kits to a local school in Muhaka.
The group also led a school assembly. They presented the donations and spent time with pupils and staff.
Students delivered stationery, teddy bears and other gifts. These items will support learning and daily school life.
The visit gave students the chance to build new friendships and learn more about the local community.
Rewarding Academic Success
Several Thomas Adams students also donated their own football shirts.
Teachers selected the top-performing pupils in each class. Students then presented the shirts as special prizes.
The awards recognised hard work, effort and achievement. Pupils received the prizes with great excitement.
The donations brought smiles to many young people. They also helped strengthen links between the two school communities.
