It’s been 12 months since George the Gorilla arrived at Thomas Adams School – Happy Birthday!

Since his arrival, students have been filling the life-size mesh gorilla with thousands of colourful bottle tops.  The bottle tops are being recycled in a bid to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and protecting our environment.   Students from the environmental club specifically chose to create this animal.  Team members were inspired by the majestic Mountain Gorilla, one of our world’s most endangered species.

Thank you to The British Ironwork Centre for continuing to support our recycling projects and for creating and making the mesh gorilla.

George the Gorilla is nearly ready for the next project – watch this space to see what happens!
