The IET Faraday Challenge is an annual competition all about STEM for students aged 12-13.
Students work in teams to research, design and make prototype solutions to engineering problems.
Students are introduced to engineering and inspired to think about it as a possible career. They also benefit by developing their practical and employability skills, including team working, problem solving and creative thinking.
This year, our team of 6 travelled to the hosts, Prestfelde School, on Thursday 28th February with Miss Sheffield-Kelly to compete for a place in the National Final.
James, Catherine, Evelyn, Jake, Poppy and Lena worked together and their hard work paid off as they secured 2nd place with their design protocol.
Headteacher, Mr Cooper, was delighted to present their certificates to celebrate their achievements and for representing the school.
