Students in Years 9, 10, and 11 recently took part in the Intermediate Maths Challenge, a national competition that tests problem-solving skills and out-of-the-box thinking. Thousands of students across the UK participate each year, tackling multiple-choice questions with increasing difficulty. While the first 15 questions carry no penalty for wrong answers, the final 10 deduct points for incorrect responses—so careful thinking is key!
Top scorers earn Bronze, Silver, or Gold certificates, and the highest achievers qualify for the next stage, the Pink Kangaroo competition. A huge congratulations to Isabel Dixon (Year 11), who achieved the best score in school and has advanced to this next round! She will compete next week—good luck, Isabel!
