BookTrust’s Bookbuzz Inspires Year 7 Readers at Thomas Adams School
Our Year 7 students have embraced Bookbuzz this term, an engaging reading initiative from BookTrust that encourages young readers to discover new books.
The programme encourages students to explore a wide range of genres, helping them discover books that reflect their interests and build confidence as independent readers.
Bookbuzz is designed to nurture a lifelong love of reading. The scheme offers students the chance to choose a book from a collection of 16 titles (see below). The books have been handpicked by BookTrust experts, school librarians, and teachers. With a focus on inclusivity, text variety, and accessibility—including dyslexia-friendly options—the programme ensures there’s something for every reader.
In addition to enriching individual reading habits, Bookbuzz also helps expand our school library with extra copies of these exciting titles, ensuring that every student can share in the joy of reading.
