Lyneal Trust’s 40th Anniversary Logo and Slogan Competition

Lyneal Trust, a charity established in 1985 and based in Lyneal, near Ellesmere, has been dedicated to providing canal boat holidays and day trips for individuals with disabilities, illnesses, injuries, or other vulnerabilities. These trips offer a unique opportunity for relaxation and enjoyment, accompanied by family, friends, and carers.

To celebrate their 40th anniversary this year, Lyneal Trust approached Thomas Adams School for help. They wanted a new logo and slogan focussed on canals. The school organised a House Competition, encouraging students to participate. Every participant received house points for their efforts.

The competition saw a total of 34 entries from Year 7 to Year 10. The entries were carefully judged and shortlisted to a top ten. The overall winner was Violet Leary from Year 7, with Jensen Dams from Year 8 securing second place. Additionally, eight other entries were highly commended, and several winning slogans were recognised.

The winning entries are to receive a complimentary day trip on the Shropshire Lady – how fantastic!

Congratulations to all the participants for their creativity and hard work in contributing to Lyneal Trust’s milestone celebration! 🎉
