Master of the Drapers’ Company Visits Thomas Adams
We were delighted to welcome Patrick Beddows, Master of the Drapers’ Company, to Thomas Adams School on Tuesday 9 June.
During his visit, Mr Beddows met students from across the school and saw first-hand the wide range of opportunities available at Thomas Adams. He spent time in textiles and food preparation lessons, where he spoke with pupils about their work and interests.
He also met with our Librarian to discuss recent developments in the school library. In addition, he learned how these improvements are helping students to read, study and learn more effectively.
Mr Beddows then toured our new Pupil Support Centre. The Drapers’ Company helped make this important facility possible through its generous support. The centre now provides students with access to guidance, wellbeing services and additional support when needed.
Later in the day, Mr Beddows visited the Sixth Form. There, he observed lessons in Psychology, Law and History. He spoke with students about their studies and gained an insight into Sixth Form life at Thomas Adams.
He also spent time in Adams House. During his visit, he met boarders and learned more about the strong sense of community within our boarding provision.
Visits such as these are an excellent opportunity to showcase life at Thomas Adams. They also allow us to highlight the positive impact of the Drapers’ Company’s continued support.
We are extremely grateful for our longstanding partnership with the Drapers’ Company. Their generosity continues to benefit our students and support key developments across the school.
Finally, we would like to thank Mr Beddows for taking the time to visit. We always look forward to welcoming the Master of the Drapers’ Company to Thomas Adams School.
