We are incredibly proud of Ava and Addison, who were recognised as winners in a national competition organised by the charity Never Such Innocence.

The girls were invited to London for an inspiring and action-packed awards ceremony. During the event, they received their prizes, shared their poetry, and presented their artwork to a highly distinguished audience, including military officials. The day also included a memorable tour of the Tower of London.

The Never Such Innocence competition attracted entries from across the UK, as well as from Ministry of Defence schools overseas. This year’s theme, Winds of Change, encouraged young people to explore their thoughts and experiences through creative expression. Submissions demonstrated remarkable bravery, honesty and insight.

Miss Holland, who coordinated the school’s Month of the Military Child activities, praised the achievements of all those involved.

She said: “I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our Month of the Military Child activities. We are incredibly proud of Ava and Addison and grateful for the enthusiasm shown in helping us deliver such a fantastic range of events for our Services families this year.”

The success of the competition forms part of an exciting programme of activities for military-connected pupils. In the coming weeks, the school will host two creative songwriting workshops for more than 60 children, delivered by the same organisation.

Congratulations to Ava and Addison on this outstanding achievement. They represented the school brilliantly and should be extremely proud of their success on a national stage.
