Young Photographer

Photography has the power to capture special places, moments and memories.  The Rotary Young Photographer competition gives participates the chance to express themselves through photography.  Entrants are able to interpret the competition’s annual brief in an imaginative way and experiment with digital and traditional methods.  The brief this year was “Through My Eyes”.  A portfolio of 3 images was required per entry and could be in colour or black and white.

Following several entries through our inter-house competition our local Wem Rotary Club have now judged the entries.

They decided on the following winners of the local heat:

Age Group – Intermediate (age 11 – 13)

Eamon Benhmida (Haughmond House)

Faye Knight (Grinshill House)

Age Group – Senior (age 14 – 17)

Erin Vickers (Lawley House)

Hope Edwards (Corndon House)

All of the above winners will now have their entries judged at district level.

Well done to all entrants – everyone who entered will received house points.

We wish all the winners well in the next round and congratulate them in their success!
