Earlier this week, we welcomed prospective students and their families to The Thomas Adams School for our annual Open Evening.
Throughout the evening, visitors explored our facilities, met staff and students, and discovered the many opportunities available at Thomas Adams. Families experienced first-hand the supportive and welcoming community that helps every student grow in confidence, develop resilience and fulfil their potential.
Our departments worked hard to create memorable experiences for visitors. In Science, guests examined a pig heart dissection and learned more about practical investigations. In History, teachers brought the past to life by welcoming visitors in full historical costume and inviting them to take a seat on a throne. The Religious Education department displayed a range of fascinating artefacts, while our new Geography teacher encouraged the adventurous to sample edible insects from around the world.
Across the school, prospective students immersed themselves in activities and conversations. Many took part in sporting challenges, explored specialist classrooms and facilities, and spoke with staff and students about life at Thomas Adams. Our talented music students also entertained visitors throughout the evening, adding to the vibrant atmosphere across the school.
The evening showcased not only our facilities and curriculum but also the enthusiasm, dedication and passion of our staff and students. Every department played its part in helping families gain a real insight into life at Thomas Adams.
