Students Shape Future Projects Thanks to £25,000 Donation
Students at The Thomas Adams School will help decide how to use a generous £25,000 donation.
Persimmon Homes provided the funding to support improvements across the school. Students will now take the lead in shaping key projects.
They are already exploring ideas such as new outdoor shelters and improved social spaces. These changes will help create a more comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone.
The donation builds on a strong partnership with Persimmon. The company is currently developing the nearby Eckford Vale site. It has already worked with the school to resurface the bus area, making student access safer.
Representatives from Persimmon Homes West Midlands attended the official handover. Head Teacher Mark Cooper, School Business Manager Joanne Jones, and local councillor Alan Holford also joined the event.
Head Teacher Mark Cooper said:
“This donation is an incredible opportunity for our pupils. Being able to influence how funds are spent encourages responsibility and creativity, and we’re excited to see the projects take shape.”
Students will now work together to plan and prioritise projects. Their decisions will help shape the school environment for years to come.
This generous support shows the value of strong community partnerships. It will make a lasting difference to student experience.
