The Shropshire Young Musician of the Year competition recently took place at Concord College.

Returning from a break due to Covid, the event has been held at Concord since 2016.

17 young musicians from across the county performed on a range of instruments showcasing some exceptional performances and talent.

The Thomas Adams School were delighted to have two Year 11 students take part in the competition; Jed Godfrey playing a well-loved song by Queen, arranged on piano and Isaac Collins playing guitar. Both Jed and Isaac received highly commended for their performances as well as some extremely complimentary comments.

The boys thoroughly enjoyed their experience in the competition.

Concord student, Rosanna, was awarded the title of Shropshire Young Musician of the Year.
