Thomas Adams School was proud to take part in Youth Awareness Day 2025, an inspiring initiative led by High Sheriff of Shropshire, Jane Trowbridge, which champions youth-led action and empowerment across the county.
Throughout the day, students enjoyed a range of activities, including a Tuck Shop, Milkshake Stand, and a lively Prize Bingo session. These events not only brought plenty of fun and enthusiasm to the school but also raised funds for youth-led grants, enabling young people to decide how the money is used to support their peers and communities.
The day highlighted the importance of listening to and supporting young people as they navigate challenges such as mental health, the cost-of-living crisis, and the need for safe, inclusive spaces to grow and thrive.
We were also honoured to welcome High Sheriff, Jane Trowbridge, to Thomas Adams School during the day. Her visit offered students the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas about how young people can take the lead in shaping positive change across Shropshire.
A huge thank you to everyone who organised, participated, and supported the day — and especially to our dedicated Citizenship & House Captains for their enthusiasm and leadership.
Together, we continue to empower young people to make a lasting difference.
