Our Seven Houses
Each student is assigned to one of seven Houses upon joining the school, each named after a local Shropshire hill:
- Clee
- Lawley
- Haughmond
- Caradoc
- Corndon
- Hawkstone
- Grinshill
These Houses serve as smaller communities within the school, providing students with opportunities to engage in various activities and develop leadership skills.

- Encourage participation in diverse activities.
- Promote leadership and responsibility.
- Recognise and celebrate achievements.
- Instill values of teamwork and cooperation.

Leadership & Participation
Each House is led by a Head of House and supported by student leaders, including:
- House Captain
- Vice Captains (Years 10 and 11)
- Sports Captains
- Citizenship Captain
- Music Captain
These roles provide students with opportunities to develop leadership skills and contribute to their House’s success.
House Competitions and Rewards
Throughout the academic year, Houses compete in various events, earning points for participation, achievement, and conduct. At the end of the year, the House with the highest points total is awarded the prestigious House Cup.
