Their focus is on offering healthy food options that contribute positively to the learning environment. Operating throughout the UK, Academy prides itself on delivering excellent food services that make a difference to young people and provide sustainable value.
Our
Menu
Our menus are designed to offer a wide variety of choices, ensuring that every student finds something they enjoy. We provide:
- World Kitchen: A selection of traditional hot meals inspired by global cuisines, accompanied by a range of hot and tasty puddings.
- Hot Deli: Options include hot marinated chicken wraps, paninis, topped jackets, freshly prepared pizza slices, and fresh pasta with a variety of homemade sauces.
- Cold Deli: A variety of freshly baked baguettes, rolls, wraps, sandwiches, and salads.
- Desserts: A range of cold desserts, homemade cakes, biscuits, and fruit pots.
We also host regular theme days and events to add variety and encourage students to explore new dishes.

Free
School Meals
Your child may be entitled to free school meals, valued at £2.70 per day. Our cashless system ensures complete confidentiality for students receiving free meals.

Dietary
Requirements
We understand the importance of accommodating special diets, whether due to ethical, religious, or medical reasons. To register a special dietary requirement, please complete and return to the school as soon as possible.
Our Catering
Cashless Catering System
To enhance efficiency during break and lunchtime services, Thomas Adams School has upgraded its biometric recognition technology to include facial recognition. This advancement aims to streamline the payment process, reduce queuing times, and provide a contactless experience for students.
How It Works
Students will simply look at the camera at the point of sale, and the system will securely identify them, deducting the cost of their meal from their account. This method eliminates the need for physical contact, cards, or PINs, making transactions quicker and more hygienic.
Security and Privacy
The facial recognition system captures a unique facial template, which is encrypted and stored securely within the school’s network. This data is used solely for identification purposes within the catering system and is not shared with third parties. The system operates only at the point of sale and is managed by authorised staff members
Consent and Alternatives
Participation in the facial recognition system requires explicit consent from parents or guardians. If consent is not provided, students can continue to use alternative methods, such as a lunch card, to access catering services. Replacement cards are available through the ParentPay system.
Account Management
Parents are responsible for ensuring their child’s catering account is adequately funded. The system allows for one overdrawn meal; thereafter, additional funds must be added to continue using the service.
