Historic Campus, Modern Learning
Our Beautiful Campus
Established in 1976 on a stunning 30-acre campus, Thomas Adams School carries forward a rich educational heritage dating back to 1650, when Sir Thomas Adams founded the Free School of Wem.
Two Exceptional Sites, One Unified Community
Our campus features two main sites, just a five-minute walk apart, each designed to support different stages of your educational journey:
Lowe Hill Campus (Ages 11-16) Modern facilities providing excellent resources across all curricular areas, supporting our students through their crucial secondary school years.
Noble Street Campus (Sixth Form) Housed in beautiful historic grammar school buildings, our Sixth Form combines the best of heritage and innovation. Here, around 300 Year 12 and 13 students enjoy independence while remaining connected to our whole-school community. Recent investments have provided first-class modern facilities alongside the charm of our historic setting.

Your Home Away from Home
Our thriving boarding community welcomes students from Britain and abroad, accommodating up to 60 boarders in a supportive, enriching environment. Rated ‘good’ by Ofsted, Adams House provides comprehensive pastoral care where students experience the warmth of family while pursuing academic excellence.
